Introduction to
LG's environmental efforts
EPEAT(Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool) is a program established to promote sustainable design and management of electronic products.
Products are evaluated and graded (EPEAT Gold, Silver, and Bronze) by considering various optional criteria such as substance management, recycling, product life, energy, and corporate social responsibility.
Understanding a product's environmental impact is crucial for LG in designing our products more sustainably for both ourselves and our customers. To achieve this, LG conducts carbon footprint assessments using the PAIA Tool or collaborate with specialized institutions. The insights gained from these assessments serve as valuable tools in our efforts to minimize environmental effects and enhance sustainability in our product design.
TCO certification is one of the environmental marks used in
Europe. This certification evaluates products by taking into
account a variety of criteria, including corporate social
responsibility, energy, efficiency, recyclability, and
minimizing the use of hazardous substances throughout the
product’s entire life cycle.

This document outlines the key assumptions made during the publication of the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) report. Each assumption has been carefully selected to provide a more accurate assessment of the product's environmental impact.

* The firmware update support period varies depending on the product certification.
* TCO Certified Products : Supported for 5 years after discontinuation.
* EPEAT Certified Products : Supported for 8 years after discontinuation.
* Firmware updates may not be available after the above periods.
Please refer to the information below for F/W update instructions.
1. Models that support online firmware updates : Updates can be performed via "On Screen Control" or "LG Switch" Application.
2. Models that do not support online firmware updates : Updates can be performed through the service centers in each country.
